Mr. Davis is one of the founding partners of Davis & Norris LLP. For many years, he has represented clients throughout the United States in high dollar cases. He has particular experience in class actions and mass torts. Before founding Davis & Norris LLP with John E. Norris in 2003, Mr. Davis had been Litigation Chair of a large multi-state law firm.
Mr. Davis studied law at the University of Alabama School of Law and at the University of Cambridge School of Law in England. He is a member of the Alabama and Tennessee state bar associations. During his legal career he has tried over a hundred cases before juries, judges and arbitrators throughout the United States. He has argued dozens of cases before state and federal appellate courts. He has been admitted on a pro hac basis by state and federal trial courts in more than 35 of the American states. He is a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court, and of a number of federal appellate courts.
In law School, Mr. Davis was on the Board of Editors of the Alabama Law Review, and a member of the Order of the Coif, and ODK. Since completing law school he has taught various courses at the University of Alabama School of Law. He chaired a section of the Alabama State Bar and he assisted in the formation of the American Academy of Judicial Education. Mr. Davis has been listed in “Birmingham Top Attorneys” and “Alabama Super Lawyers.
