Mr. Norris is a founding partner of the firm. He graduated magna cum laude from Birmingham-Southern College in 1988, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree in 1991 from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and on the managing board of The Alabama Law Review. Mr. Norris has practiced exclusively in civil litigation during his entire quarter-century practicing law. He has tried jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations involving business defamation, post-employment restrictions on competition and solicitation, personal injuries, property damage due to environmental contamination, race and other discrimination under Title VII of the 1964 civil rights act, toxic torts, violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, breach of contract, and many other areas. Mr. Norris has handled cases throughout the United States.
His current practice almost exclusively on mass and class consumer rights cases, although he still at times is called upon for his expertise in environmental litigation. Mr. Norris believes that justice is best achieved when poor and working Americans have access to the same caliber lawyer that big companies hire.
For thousands of current and former clients across the United States, John Norris is that lawyer.
